in 2011 feldmilla started a new project to become the first climate neutral hotel in south tyrol. a carbon assessment 'carbon footprint' was undertaken to analyse all departments of the hotel about carbon emissions. the main goal is the ongoing reduction of the emissions in the hotel. the co2 emissions that can not be avoided are offset in a environmental project in guatemala. the environmental protection is our commitment.

our history with 'renewable energy':
feldmilla has its own electric utility since 1939 which is activated by the river aurino which is just in front on the hotel. since 1939 until today energy for the hotel is produced by the turbine.
in 1999 the consortium of st. moritzen with government's help and support built a new electric utility which covers 100% of the necessity.
still today it is possible to see the old turbine and generator from 1939. it is exhibited in the feldmilla's breakast room "turbina".
